It aims at equipping and empowering SMEs to become more resilient by building capacity of SMEs to succesfully carry out the twin transition towards more sustainable, digital and competitive practices as prioritised in the Tourism Transition Pathway. This is why INSPIRES aims for a resilient twin transition in tourism, by empowering SMEs to make use of digital and sustainable transformation methods and tools for the benefit of all, aiming at a diversified tourism as a means of combating discrimination, providing security and acceptance and promoting greater social inclusion. The aim is to co-create a green and digital transition, in order to reach a 2030 resilient tourism ecosystem, which works effectively towards the commitments of the Transition Pathway for Tourism and the SME Strategy for a sustainable and digital Europe.The Specific Objectives (SO) of INSPIRES are based on a needs analysis of the tourism ecosystem in the participating countries.32 KPIs will track the effects of the activities done in WP 2,3,4,5, dedicated to foster twin transition in the tourism sector.SO1: Collect and share EU-wide best practices on resilience, digitalization, and sustainability to inspire tourism SMEs and stakeholders. The KPIs will track the effects of the activities done in WP2 with support of WP6. SO2: Conduct training for key stakeholders to become multipliers in disseminating knowledge on resilience, sustainability, and digitalization to SMEs. The KPIs will track the effects of the activities done in WP3 with support of WP6.SO3: Provide tailored capacity building for tourism SMEs on resilience, sustainability, and digitalization, including tools, management strategies, certification, and funding to improve their environmental performance and overall resilience. The KPIs will track the effects of the activities done in WP4 with support of WP6.SO4: To provide financial support to SMEs to develop and implement new business strategies, new products and cross sectoral approaches to increase the resilience, sustainability and digitalisation of their daily activities.
