Tavoite

COMBAT Human Trafficking project aims at developing toolkit for tourism enterprises, public authorities, victims and other actors to struggle against human trafficking in European tourism industry. Human trafficking is a phenomena that makes European tourism development and free movement of people among Schengen countries much more difficult.

The toolkit is developed in cooperation among European top level research, development and innovation organizations in the field. The lead partner of the project is Oxford Brookes university (UK), and the partnership includes Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Multidimensional Tourism Institute (FI), University of West London (UK) and Ratiu Foundation for Democracy (RO).

COMBAT project is supported by DG Justice and Home Affairs, Prevention of and Fight Against Crime Programme of the European union.

Tulokset

The project develops toolkit for tourism companies, employees, employers, public authorities and associations. The purpose of the toolkit is to train them to fight against human trafficking and related organized crime.
