Expand your knowledge with online studies from other universities
Cross-institutional studies allow you to expand your study opportunities by choosing studies from another higher education institution in your home country and integrating them into your own degree. Cross-registration requires the right to study as a degree student, exchange student or open pathway student at a Finnish higher education institution.
Students can view the study offerings for cross-institutional studies and select studies for their personal study plan from the study offerings of another higher education institution in Peppi on the student’s desktop. After enrolment, the student has a temporary right to study at the host institution for the duration of the studies and can access the studies using the HAKA login. The assessed credits are transferred to the student’s home institution’s student register, where the student can view the credits in his/her HOPS.
Below you will find the Lapin AMK’s cross-institutional study networks and instructions for students leaving Lapin UAS and students arriving from another university.
The available studies can be found in study guide. The study guide contains more specific information of the implementations and enrollment. Please keep in mind that most of the consortium studies are in Finnish, unless stated otherwise.
From ristiinopiskelu@luc.fi, you will receive guidance on course offerings, practices, and enrollment procedures.
You can view the cross-study study offer on the student’s desktop in the ISP view. Before enrolling in a course of study at another higher education institution, make sure that the course of study can be included in your own degree.
You can register for the course at the student’s desk using the Apply for studies -button. The service will ask you for approval to transfer your contact information to the target university. By accepting the transfer, you will be able to enroll in the course.
You will receive a confirmation email regarding your right to study from the target university to your email when the teacher accepts you for the first time for studies at that university. Upon acceptance of the enrollment, you will be granted a fixed-term right to study at the target university. The target university will instruct you on how to start your studies (e.g. on the usernames used).
Once you have completed your studies and the teacher at the target university has assessed it, the assessment will be transferred from the target university to your own Peppi in real time. The possibility of renewal and increase of performance should be checked at the target university.
