Applied Research

We are an R&D-intensive university of applied sciences, and the annual volume of our R&D activities is around 18 million euros. Our partnership and stakeholder networks include regional, national and international research and development organisations, universities, companies and other working life actors.

With applied research, we develop new practical solutions and applications by making use of researched knowledge. Our applied research focuses on societal challenges. With the help of applied research, we produce solutions related to our areas of strength that support the achievement of sustainable development goals.

We conduct applied research in three areas in particular:

• Sustainable solutions promoting well-being,
• Regenerative business and
• Renewable energy.
