Sustainability reporting


Universities of Applied Sciences play a vital role in building a sustainable future. In a changing world, this role is becoming increasingly significant.

Universities of Applied Sciences educate professionals who have the necessary tools to drive change and create a sustainable tomorrow. They generate solutions to sustainability challenges through research, development, and innovation, andsupport the development of the working life and the entire region into a more sustainable and stronger one through close interaction.

The 2024 report is the first comprehensive report based on the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the VSME guidelines (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs). The new reporting model was the result of extensive collaboration with other universities of applied sciences, coordinated by Lapland UAS. .

Lapland UAS sustainability reporting for 2025 has been further developed. The focus of reporting is shifting from individual measures toward an examination of impact, the overall picture, and trends.
