Focus on a sustainable future

The Sustainability Programme is part of the implementation of our strategy and our core activities. In making our choices, we consider the impact we are aiming to achieve and how we are doing so. Equally important is to consider how our choices will make things possible and how we will measure progress towards our objectives and assess continuous improvement.

The aspects of sustainability that are relevant to Lapland University of Applied Sciences form the basis of the Sustainability Programme. What kind of change agent do we want to be? What can we influence? What sustainability challenges can we be involved in solving together with our partners? How do we promote sustainability through our own actions and example?

Sustainability themes

Lapland University of Applied Sciences’ sustainability programme consists of five sustainability themes, under which we have grouped the objectives and indicators of ecological (E), social and cultural (S) and economic and good governance (G) sustainability. The sustainability actions reduce the footprint or increase the handprint of Lapland UAS.
