During the event partners took the opportunity to report project results and the opportunities available following the completion of the Inno4sports project. Inno4Sports brings together 5 regions: Hajdú-Bihar (HU), Lapland (FI), Lodzkie Region (PL), South Netherlands (NL), Valencian Region (ES) and EPSI (BE) sharing the ambition to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystems on sports & vitality based on market chances, social trends and business opportunities. Present at the event from Lapland UAS was Engineering expert Hannu Korhonen, who took the opportunity to present the Smart Urban Routes project. This project looks to collect data in order to start a further planning consultation to develop a pathway around Rovaniemi that will promote active healthy lifestyles, innovation and enterprise. Over the last year Lapland UAS has been a partner in a pilot project to research the use of data as a tool to enable innovation within the Arctic Sport Network. Hosting two workshops and a set of interviews, Ben Taylor, Sport and Tourism Development Specialist, presented key data to the present stakeholders. Following the presentation, the group set out to brainstorm and discuss the potential future projects stemming from the pilot results.
