Ukrainian citizens may study in Lapland UAS’ courses offered by the Open University of Applied Sciences or continue their studies that are unfinished at a Ukrainian higher education institution. Students who are studying in the Ukrainian higher education institution may also study in all four international degree programmes, taught in English. Both study opportunities are free of charge for Ukrainians. Open University of Applied Sciences Open UAS courses are open to all Ukrainians regardless of age and educational background. The studies are free of charge for Ukrainian citizens until July 31, 2023. The study offering for Ukrainians at the Open University of Applied Sciences can be found here. Registration takes place at the same address. Students are admitted according to the quota number of places. Degree programme students in a Ukrainian higher education institution may continue their studies in Lapland UAS Open University of Applied Sciences due to the war. The duration of the study right is two years and can continue until 31 July 2024. It is possible to complete a total of 120 credits. Students are guided in selecting suitable studies and a personal study plan is drawn up for them. The studies are free of charge for Ukrainian students. In addition, counselling and guidance services, university library services, wellness passport, and student meal benefit in restaurants on campuses are available to students at the Open University of Applied Sciences. Degree study rights cannot be obtained through the Open University of Applied Sciences, but the studies completed may be accepted later as part to the degree studies in case student has applied and is accepted to study as a degree student in Lapland UAS. There is a wide range of studies available to students through courses aimed at exchange students. Erasmus+ funding can be used until 31 May 2023.
