The project will develop a VR language learning game and conduct research into the use of VR pedagogy in a higher education context to support Nordic minority language tuition (Swedish in Finland, Finnish in Sweden). The project builds on Lapland UAS’ and their software lab FrostBit’s previous experience developing a VR speech simulation game for the Culture Expert project with the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Uppsala University and Stockholm University specialize in digital pedagogies and language revitalization.
