TUITION FEES
The tuition fees charged by the Open UAS are based on the Finnish higher education act (Ammattikorkeakoululaki 932/2014) and the Government decree on fees charged by higher educational institutions for their activities (Valtioneuvoston asetus ammattikorkeakoulujen toiminnasta perittävistä maksuista 1440/2014). The tuition fee for open studies at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences is €15 per credit, and the fee for studies consisting of 20 credits or larger study units is €300. The tuition fee is payable upon enrolment. Paytrail Oyj is the online store’s payment service provider.
The studies offered in the paid education online store can also be free of charge (study fee €0)
ENROLMENT
By enroling for the studies, you agree to the payment, cancellation and contract terms. You will be granted a study right limited in terms of time and content. The right to study cannot be transferred to another study unit or module or to the next academic year.
The data of the students of the open university of applied sciences is stored in the student information system of the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, see privacy statement.
ENROLMENT CANCELLATION
Enrolment for studies is binding. The tuition fee will not be refunded. Exceptions are cancellations based on a doctor’s certificate as well as enrolments for open path studies if the student is accepted for the corresponding degree studies at Lapland University of Applied Sciences prior to the start of the open path studies. Being admitted to the Lapland University of Applied Sciences or other university of applied sciences as a degree student during your open path studies does not make you eligible for a refund.
All cancellations must be made via the cancellation link provided in the enrolment confirmation email. Any refunds should be contacted immediately after cancellation to avoinamk(at)lapinamk.fi.
The Lapland University of Applied Sciences has the right to cancel the studies due to the number of enrolled students being too small or another similar reason. Those enrolled will be notified of a potential cancellation of the studies, and the tuition fee will be refunded automatically.
FEES CHARGED BY A PARTNER INSTITUTION
The partner institution that offers open higher education will make the decisions on and notify of the enrolment policy and tuition fees.
