The 1st joint application period for English-taught degree programmes ended on 22nd of January 2025.

The total number of starting places for Lapland UAS Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees was 155 and the number of applicants for all the programmes was 1622. Most of the applications came from outside Finland.

Due to the amendment to the Universities of Applied Sciences Act and the Universities Act on 1 December 2024, an application fee is collected from applicants outside the EU/EEA area when applying. After submitting the application, applicants have seven days to pay the fee, after which the application will be passivated if the fee has not been paid. The number of applicants currently reported may include applicants who have not paid the application fee. The number of applicants is still to be specified.

The results of this January application round will be published during the spring. Applicants can follow the admission process through the Studyinfo.fi -service.

Lapland UAS organizes own direct application period for English-taught programmes

The goal of Lapland UAS is to increase the number of international degree students and Lapland UAS wants to invest in a new admission process for international degree programmes this year as well.

– It is especially important that we receive motivated international degree students at Lapland University of Applied Sciences, who gain strong networks for working life and companies in the region during the completion of their degree. Both commit to completing their degrees and finding employment in Lapland and Finland, says Riitta Rissanen, Rector of Lapland University of Applied Sciences.

In 2025, the application period for the English-taught Bachelor’s degree programmes of Lapland UAS will continue with a direct application open to all applicants on 1st of February 2025. Applications to the programmes take place at www.studyinfo.fi.

In direct application, students can apply to Lapland UAS Bachelor’s degree programmes with a certificate selection, after which the applicants are interviewed as part of the selection process. The direct application ends on 6th of April 2025 or when the study places are full. More information about applying you find from Applying for degree programmes -pages.
