This year 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the cooperation between Lapland University of Applied Sciences and UAS Technikum Wien. During this period, the cooperation between the two partner institutions has steadily developed and intensified in many areas. Ari Pikkarainen, Principla Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Lapland UAS has been a guest lecturer at UAS Technikum Wien for almost ten years, has been instrumental in intensifying this international cooperation in recent years. Pikkarainen was awarded the title of Honorary Professor for his achievements and his commitment to the close ties between the two universities. The laudation was held by Technikum Rector Sylvia Geyer. In her speech, she emphasized that the award was intended to underline his outstanding personal commitment and also his services to the organization and the development of UAS Technikum Wien.
