Start your studies!

  • Activate your account with your personal online banking credentials or mobile certificate here.
  • Once you have activated your username, remember to enable two-factor authentication here.
  • A username and email account will be created for all students. With your username you can log in to Peppi, Lapin AMK’s email, the databases of the University Library of Lapland and the wireless network.
  • If you do not have a personal online banking ID or mobile authentication, or if you encounter problems activating your user ID, please contact the Student HelpDesk
  • If you have a valid University of Lapland or University of Applied Sciences of Lapland user ID, you will not be created a new user ID and you will not need to activate a new password, but will use your existing ID.
  • Please note that you will need your own computer for studying and that you will use your university e-mail address for your studies.

Start your studies with the “Start Your UAS Studies” course (5 ECTS) before the start of contact teaching. The course covers all the essential information you need to start your studies smoothly. During this course, you will also meet your tutor and can book an appointment for guidance.

Students attending a traditional university or a university of applied sciences must pay a healthcare fee to Kela. The fee must be paid for each term. Kela does not send a bill for the fee, so students must make sure to pay it on their own initiative. You can pay the healthcare fee via Kela’s e-service OmaKela (available in Finnish and Swedish only).
