Taking care of your well-being supports your studies. The experience of well-being is very individual and is built from many different factors. How well you feel affects your ability to study, in other words, how well you can learn and to promote your studies.
On this page, you will find information about student health services, university well-being services, university sports opportunities, study financing, student union and association activities, and church support for students.
At Lapland University of Applied Sciences, student welfare is promoted by a multi-professional welfare and counselling working group. The working group consists of different experts, such as the student union ROTKO, YTHS, the university’s welfare services and the study team. They look at the phenomena of wellbeing and counselling from different perspectives and develop common practices to support students’ wellbeing, ability to study and progression.
The working group aims to identify students’ wellbeing and support needs and to develop collaboration and information sharing. They are keen to hear about student challenges and welcome suggestions for improvement. The aim is to develop a broad approach that recognises the diversity of students and learning.
