Lapland UAS is partnering with VIVES UAS (Belgium), Breda UAS and InHolland UAS (Netherlands), ESHTE (Portugal) and Laurea UAS in the STRETCH SDG Festival project. The project seeks to raise awareness among locals on SDGs. This is done by organising and executing pop-up events for participating commissioners by students who work in mixed international teams. The commissioners are Tornio City, Rajalla På Gränsen, Meän Talo, Tornio Parish, Tornio Museum, Kokkokankaan Martat, Rotary, Icebreaking Company (previously Kemi Tourism), Halipuu and Lapland UAS (represented by Mirva Juntti). The teams have worked online in a series of pressure cooker sessions and will meet face-to-face in Tornio in week 17 to execute the pop-up event. The pop-up event will be held on Thursday 23 April 2026 between 13:00-17:00 at Rajalla shopping mall and you are all invited to join us! The project is funded by the ERASMUS+ BIP (blended intensive programme) project and the Tornio business programme. The project is rotating between partners, and Lapland UAS is hosting it this year.
