Head Out into the World – Student Exchange Opens Doors to the Future!

Student exchange offers a unique opportunity to spend a semester or even an entire academic year abroad at another university. The minimum period is a couple of months, but the longer you stay, the deeper the experience. Exchanges mainly take place at Lapland UAS partner institutions, so you can trust you’ll receive high-quality teaching and support during your time abroad. Destinations are available in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Below you’ll find the application periods for different programs:

Erasmus+, Magellan, Bilateral
Application period: 1 Feb – 1 Mar 2026

N2N & TerveAfrikka
Application period: 1 Jan – 15 Feb 2026

(You’ll find more details about exchange programs and deadlines at the bottom of the page.)

In the workshop, you’ll get help finding an exchange university and completing your application. You can join via the link provided here.

Where to Find Exchange Destinations?

You can find the exchange destinations of your degree program in Lapland UAS’s mobility system SoleMOVE. Additional help is available by following the handy instructions on our website. Some destinations are specific to certain study fields, so only students in those fields can apply. However, every program has plenty of interesting options!
