Lapland Testbed is a health technology testbed in Finland provided by Lapland University of Applied Sciences (Lapland UAS). We help companies test, pilot and develop health and wellbeing solutions together with experts and end users. Do the testing or pilots cost anything?

The services are free of charge for companies as part of the project “Development of the Wellbeing and Health Technology Testbed operating model and services at Lapland UAS.” The project is implemented by Lapland UAS and funded by the Regional Council of Lapland through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project period runs from 1 October 2024 to 31 August 2027.

Do I need to have a finished prototype before getting in touch?

No, you don’t. You can contact us already at the ideation stage. We help you assess when it makes sense to start testing and what kind of development steps to take before the actual piloting.

Where are the testing and pilots carried out?

We test solutions in Lapland UAS’s own development environments, such as simulation hospitals, the Sports Lab, Semppi, and XBit. In addition, we can also bring technologies into real social and healthcare units that operate as our partners.

How do I get started?
