Would you like to inspire others to internationalise and study abroad?

Lapland University of Applied Sciences is looking for new My Global Diary Ambassadors! Our ambassadors work to share their own international study experience on Instagram and to inspire other students to become more international as well. As an ambassador, you get to share stories about the application process for student exchange, life during an exchange, about an internship abroad, or about going international at home. You are also going to be working as a part of a team of other talented content creators. 
 
We are currently recruiting ambassadors for the time period between February 2026 – August 2026, with July being an off-duty month. The application deadline is February 2 at midnight. The chosen ambassadors are required to post content on Instagram on a designated responsibility day during each working week. This means that you are going to be in charge of your institution’s My Global Diary Ambassador Instagram account for one day a week between February and August with the exception being July when no work is required.  The pay is a one-time payment of 200 € which is payable after all duties have been completed.  
 
When working as an ambassador you will 
- increase your internationalisation competencies and learn to network with other people.  
- gain valuable working experience in an English-speaking environment. 
- gain practical experience in marketing & digital content creation as well as social media management. 
- get to tell your own internationalisation story in your own personal way using video, pictures, text, hand drawn comics – you name it! 
 
The task is student-oriented, and you will always have the support of your university’s internationalisation team behind you.  
 
We require our ambassadors to 
– be motivated and organized 
– be able to fulfill given tasks independently 
- be comfortable with using Instagram  
– have good listening, reading, writing and and speaking skills in English as that is the main working language of the project. This does not mean that you cannot also create content in Finnish, though, as both our Instagram account is bilingual. 
 
We are looking for a diverse group of student ambassadors who represent a wide variety of study fields and backgrounds. Students with experience in social media management and content creation are encouraged to apply but previous work experience in the field is not required. We also encourage those who are spending time abroad during spring 2026 to apply. 
 
The recruitment call is open until midnight on February 2, 2026. The results of the selection will be shared after all the applications have been reviewed. The compulsory ambassador training session will take place on February 9, 15­.00 – 17.00 on Teams. The chosen ambassadors are required to formally accept their position before taking part in the training.
