Welcome to Rovaniemi is an event for new international residents and anyone living in Rovaniemi who wants to connect with people from different backgrounds. You can enjoy live music, good food and a friendly atmosphere – and meet new people along the way.

What to expect?

  • Opening words by Eemeli Kajula, Chair of the Rovaniemi City Council
  • Music by Lola Cervantes and Kunnan Pojat
  • Snacks and Finnish pastries for 100 first participants
  • Family-friendly event: activities for children too!
  • Programme will be updated

You will also have a chance to discover services and activities in Rovaniemi. Come and find out what the City of Rovaniemi has to offer, for example:

  • services to support settling in, integration and employment
  • services and activities for families and children
  • leisure time, hobbies and events in Rovaniemi

You don’t need to know anyone beforehand – just come as you are! Whether you have recently arrived in Rovaniemi or have been living here for a while, you are warmly welcome! This even is open to everyone.

The event is free of charge. No registration needed.

The main language of the event is English. Also Easy Finnish is used.

The event is organized by the International Rovaniemi project (ESF+) in cooperation with the Cultural Services, City Library, Youth Services and Integration Services of City of Rovaniemi, and Moninet of Rovala.
