When I applied to the exchange in Rovaniemi, it felt like a small decision, but without knowing it, it changed my life.

My adventure started in the beginning of August 2024, step by step I started falling in love with the place. Doing the outdoor studies (sport science bachelor degree) I was able to connect with the place, the nature, and with the people. Since the first day, they were so open and helping with everything.

At that moment I was starting to practise physical activities in nature, and with those studies I expanded my knowledge as fast as hell. And not just in the courses, because in my free time I kept practising them. The university was all the time bringing opportunities to borrow some material, or meeting after university hours.

The teaching way was awesome, based on the practice, experiencing all the theoretical concepts, and bringing the opportunity to learn about the culture of the place. Everybody knows that Lapland nature is awesome, but not everybody has the opportunity to connect and get to know it, and I can say that I did.

After my exchange, I decided to come back to Rovaniemi to start working (I also had help with that from the university). I felt in love with the place, and with the people.
