Equal and Accessible Lapland – Project

Purpose of the Project

The main purpose of the project is to develop equal and year-round tourism service concepts in collaboration with tourism and rehabilitation service companies. The project will assess the current state of equal and accessible tourism and rehabilitation services, increase regional knowledge about accessible travel chains and services, and support the development of equal and accessible tourism and rehabilitation service concepts based on the companies’ own starting points

It is estimated that there are 1.3 billion people in the world with significant disabilities, and their number continues to grow due to demographic and epidemiological changes. The global aging population alone increases the need for equal and accessible services.
